Krull

Its been a while so I decided to get back to my roots and watch the very first movie I had ever seen at a theatre (thank you mom and aunt angie). It is a classic and basically an amazing movie if you are a nerd... This movie is Krull.


Some people are overly critical of this movie... I say to hell with them because this movie rocks. People forget when this movie was made and Lord of the Ring its not ... however if Lotr had been made in 1983 the similarities would be pretty striking. Its a basic sword and sorcery tale but with big actors who were unknown at the time and mainly

Liam Neeson (Qui Gon Jinn)

and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid).
To tell the truth this movies story is like a Dnd game meets Star Wars on The Magnificent Seven. Yes the recipe seems to be way too many cooks in the kitchen but it worked well the story is of a young king Colwyn who on his wedding night his queen Lyssa gets kid napped by the beast who is a dictator from an other world. Well Colwyn wants to kick this dudes ass and with Help of his friends that he meets durning his journey this happens. Basically its a kick ass sword and sorcery movie from the 80s that you dont see made any more cause well hollywood sucks and they should make more movies I like.
